a look at us
It’s about us right this second, for like two stanzas. And then it’s all about you, your needs, and your brand, forever more.
Patricia Buchholtz, Principal
Your Wish is My Command
With dual degrees in International Business and French from Texas State University, more than 10 years of experience in marketing, and a crazy knack for numbers, Patricia (aka “pb”) drives the nitty gritty side of advertising and marketing at lookthinkmake. Under the beloved statement “form follows function”, Patricia focuses on the logistics, execution, budget, and brand management for our clients. This means that your signs are where they should be, saying what they need to say, large enough to read, and yes, all you had to do was wish for it.
Prior to lookthinkmake, Patricia’s journey has included the Rise and Fall of the Dotcom Era where she helped define and create one of the original small business e-commerce website-creation templates; the successful launch and eventual sale of The Daisy Soap Company – an animal-free line of natural soaps; ownership of Brass Tacks Consulting, a small-business start-up consulting firm; and has marketed award-winning Central Texas neighborhoods including Chestnut Commons, MacMora Cottages, Sanctuary Lofts, and The Austonian.
Sean Thompson, Principal
Thingmaker, esq.
From drawing and painting to strategizing and storytelling, Sean has always been a maker of things, and at lookthinkmake, he is the maker in chief. And he likes to get his hands dirty.
Sean attended Colgate University, where he graduated with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Asian Studies. Sean completed his Master’s coursework in Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin in 1998, where he was particularly interested in advertising creativity, branding, and postmodern typography.
Upon earning his graduate degree, Sean worked at Leo Burnett in Chicago, where he devised and produced countless television, print, and branding campaigns for the big guys, like McDonalds (yes, he knows The Clown), Delta Airlines, USPS, Kellogg’s, and such.
Sean returned to Austin and joined the University of Texas at Austin Advertising faculty in 2000 as a lecturer in creativity in the world famous Texas Creative Program. Sean has seen his students win nearly every major national creative award out there, including One Show pencils, ADDYs, ANDYs, Art Directors Club cubes, and the grand prize at the Radio Mercury Awards, among others.
Sean has continued his professional work as well, as an award-winning creative director for many brands big and small.
The big ones were small when he found them.
