Giving Back
Volunteerism, Nonprofit Rates, Membership, Board Roles? You bet. We believe in actively participating in our great city.
lookthinkmake believes that it’s important to share wherever and whenever we can. From donated work to donated time from our team, we’re involved with our community in ways big and small. We’ve made simple banners. We’ve led PR efforts. We’ve developed entire brand identities. We like to lend our knowledge, our membership, or our time outside of work. A few organizations that we support (and hope you’ll support, too) include:
Art Alliance Austin: For more than 65 years, Art Alliance Austin has been actively promoting and funding visual art in Austin. Through welcoming large-scale events, to cultural moments in time, this organization has bolstered the arts community. The part you might not realize? Through commissioned works, they have directly contributed more than 1 million dollars to artists in our city.
Austin Children’s Shelter: The Austin Children’s Shelter provides emergency shelter, high quality care and hope for the future to the abandoned, abused and neglected children of our community. They have fundraising events throughout the year and regularly seek volunteers to support their awareness and fundraising.
Dell Children’s Gala: The Austin Children’s Shelter provides emergency shelter, high quality care and hope for the future to the abandoned, abused and neglected children of our community. They have fundraising events throughout the year and regularly seek volunteers to support their awareness and fundraising.
SIMS Foundation: The SIMS Foundation’s Mission is to provide access to and financial support for mental health and addiction recovery services for Austin-area musicians and their families. SIMS was founded in 1995 by the friends and family of Sims Ellison, a talented young Austin musician, after his battle with depression ended in suicide. We’re proud to say that Patricia has been asked (and has accepted) a board position with the SIMS Foundation.
Umlauf Sculpture Garden: The Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum is a non-profit organization founded around the work of American sculptor Charles Umlauf. Their work is dedicated to providing educational experiences that encourage the understanding and appreciation of sculpture.
MEMBERSHIP:
Austin Ad Fed: This is the group that drives creative talent to our fair city and then brags about it. Part of a network of national chapters forming the American Advertising Federation, participation here puts Austin and businesses that participate in advertising on the national map. Oh, Patricia is on the board of this one, too. And Sarah is on the board of the AD2ATX, the younger version of Austin Ad Fed.
