OUR TEAM

It’s about us right this second, for a few stanzas. And then it’s all about you, your needs, and your brand, forever more.

Patricia Buchholtz
Partner + Marketing Director
A QUESTIONING AUTHORITY

With dual degrees in International Business and French from Texas State University, more than 10 years of experience in marketing, and a crazy knack for numbers, Patricia (aka “pb”) drives the nitty gritty side of advertising and marketing at lookthinkmake. Under the beloved statement “form follows function,” Patricia focuses on the logistics, brand management, budget, and execution for our clients. And, ever engaging, Patricia directs lookthinkmake’s new business efforts.

Prior to lookthinkmake, Patricia’s journey has included the Rise and Fall of the Dotcom Era where she helped define and create one of the original small business e-commerce website-creation templates; the successful launch and eventual sale of The Daisy Soap Company – an animal-free line of natural soaps; ownership of Brass Tacks Consulting, a small-business start-up consulting firm; and served as the marketing director for The Austonian and a number of other award-winning Central Texas real estate projects.

Cile Montgomery
Partner + PR Director
THE CONVERSATION STARTER

In 2012, Cile merged her expertise—and Giant Media—with lookthinkmake. As Partner, Cile directs public relations and strategic positioning for all of our clients. Her experience in new product marketing, marketing communications, media relations and social media strategy makes her the consummate triple threat.

Cile studied at The University of Texas at Austin, where she received a BA in Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies. Following college, Cile grew up at Dell, working her way from an entry-level sales position to coveted roles in marketing communications, business development and product marketing. Following Dell, she was a Director of Business Development for Seattle-based startup WildTangent, managing relationships with top PC manufacturers in Europe and North America including Dell, Gateway, HP and Toshiba. Cile then founded Giant Media, where she worked with clients as diverse as Dell, The Austonian, AIA Austin, Art Alliance Austin, the Austin Film Festival and Decorum Home + Design.

Sean Thompson
Partner + Creative Director
THINGMAKER, ESQ.

From drawing and painting to strategizing and storytelling, Sean has always been a maker of things, and at lookthinkmake, he is the maker in chief.

Sean attended Colgate University, where he graduated with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Asian Studies. Sean completed his Master’s coursework in Advertising at The University of Texas at Austin in 1998, where he was particularly interested in advertising creativity, branding, and postmodern typography.

Upon earning his graduate degree, Sean worked at Leo Burnett Worldwide in Chicago, where he devised and produced countless television, print, and branding campaigns for the big guys, like McDonalds (yes, he knows The Clown), Delta Airlines, USPS, Kellogg’s and more. Sean returned to Austin to serve as the Creative Director for NetSpend and, hooked on the thrill of startup culture, started a habit of building brands from the ground up. And from this, lookthinkmake was born.

When Sean isn’t mentoring brands, he’s mentoring young creative talent. Sean joined the University of Texas at Austin Advertising faculty in 2000 as a lecturer in creativity in the world famous Texas Creative Program, where he continues to teach. He has seen his students win nearly every major national creative award out there, including One Show pencils, ADDYs, ANDYs, Art Directors Club cubes, and the grand prize at the Radio Mercury Awards.

Payton Bridges
Senior Designer
THE DESIGN MECHANIC

Since graduating from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Payton has racked up more than 10 years of design experience working for a number of agencies including CU Advertising and Twelve16. His proven concept and design abilities have resulted in award-winning campaigns across various web and print-based communications and materials for a variety of clients across the nation. We’d say more, but we’ll let his work do the talking for him.

When he’s not off stunt driving, Payton is our go-to man for logo and brand development, print production and web design. With a keen eye for fonts and layout, and a surprisingly elegant touch for such a big guy (he’s 6’5″), you can be sure your brand is in good, massive hands.

Jordan Jeffus
Account Executive
YOUR BRAND IS MY BRAND

With her eyes always towards the future, Jordan embodies the “think” in lookthinkmake. She’s our master strategist; planning your events, pitching media your stories, and running your campaign to its limits. And then running it some more.

Jordan graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business Foundations. She interned at ROSS Communications, Austin Film Festival, and Giant Media. Giant Media offered her a full-time position after she graduated and has since brought her sixth sense for strategy, an insane organizational tendency, as well as her dog, Truman, to our team.

In her spare time, Jordan likes to lend her PR and planning skills to local non-profits, serving as the co-chair of the 2012 Umlauf Garden Party and chair of the 2013 event, as well as the co-chair for this year’s The Big Give, a fundraising event for local nonprofit I Live Here, I Give Here.

Kelsey Kemper
Digital Media Specialist
THE PIXEL PUBLICIST

Kelsey has always had a passionate love affair with words and storytelling. And we love her for it.

While getting her BA in English Literature and Communications from Trinity University, Kelsey gained her first PR experience in San Antonio where she worked in the non-profit world. Kelsey then moved to Austin and joined Giant Media, which led her to lookthinkmake. And when she isn’t weaving tales of faraway places and diabolical sea creatures, she’s telling our clients’ stories through digital and social media, video editing and pitching traditional PR outlets.

Sarah Redding
Media Planner
THE MIXMASTER

Consumer insights. GRPs. Cume Reports. Demographic analysis. Digital metrics. SEM. Deadlines. Due Dates. At lookthinkmake, Sarah’s the one with the know-how. A graduate from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business with a BBA in Marketing and a minor in Music Business, Sarah started out in music marketing as an intern at The Long Center and C3 Presents before we snatched her up. Her ties to tunes stem from her time spent in the Longhorn Band and still shine when she occasionally takes the mantle of Office DJ.

With media planning experience ranging from local to international, and traditional to digital, Sarah puts us—and our clients—in the right spots at the right time. And when she’s not busy with planning the media mix, Sarah’s coordinating events, analyzing and editing websites, and serving as a board member of AD2ATX, part of the Austin Advertising Federation, which is music to our ears.

Elle Tse
Designer
THE WACOM WIZARDESS

Elle started at lookthinkmake as a summer intern, but it only took a couple of weeks before we decided that she needed to stick around for good. Sure, she brings an eclectic design style and strong work ethic to the office, but she also brings things like exotic flowering teas and a Super Mario Chess Set.

A native Austinite, Elle graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s in Arts and Technology and a minor in Fine Arts. Her keen eye, quick wit and infectious positive attitude can be seen through the lighthearted designs that come from her brain. And her Wacom tablet.

Zach Vernon
Art Director
A ZACH OF ALL TRADES

Zach is a curious person. And a dabbler. This unique combination results in a creative thinker whose interests span a wide range. From doodling monsters on any available surface to belting out Bon Jovi at karaoke, Zach likes to find new creative endeavors and attack them with relish.

Zach sated his curiosity for advertising by receiving his Bachelor’s degree through the Creative Advertising Sequence at The University of Texas at Austin. And then he moved to Australia. Just because.

There, he interned for The Furnace in Sydney and Melbourne before moving on to work at Ogilvy’s Melbourne digital agency, DTDigital, as a Junior Creative. After two years away from home, Zach returned to Texas as a freelance art director until he settled in at lookthinkmake, where his curiosity is fed every day.
